Remembering Major Thomas Kennedy

As many of you know we often complete WODs to remember fallen war heroes. I am not sure if many of you know but someone very close to many of our members was killed in the line of duty one year ago today. On Wednesday August 8, 2012 while on foot patrol in Eastern Afghanistan, Major Kennedy was killed by a Taliban suicide bomber. Major Kennedy is a hero of the highest order having given the ultimate sacrifice to his nation. As a nation we grieve the loss of such a distinguished warrior. His friends are working to have an official named WOD but as of now there is not one. Therefore, during today’s WOD we ask that you remember this brave man and his wife and two children that he left behind. The Gilberston, Bullis and Kallos families are close friends of the Kennedys and we just wanted to honor their dear friend on the anniversary of his ultimate sacrifice for his country.
