OUR STORY

CrossFit Sting is not your average box. We have now been open for OVER TEN years so we aren’t going anywhere! It is a clean, well organized and aesthetically pleasing environment.  Our coaches and members provide a community of people waiting to help you achieve your fitness goals.  It is normal to be nervous about being the “new kid” but we assure you, your nerves will immediately be calmed.   CrossFit Sting is here to help with all of your fitness goals whether your goal is to lose weight, gain weight, lift more weight or improve in a sport.  You will find a safe environment with personalized attention.  You will be instructed on proper mechanics first, then being consistent, and then when those two things are achieved, your intensity will be increased.

Our owner, Danielle, has not only been a life long athlete but is also an Occupational Therapist. She previously ran a successful practice in Woodstock, GA before opening CrossFit sting 10 years ago.  Success comes from being a hands on owner and listening to a client’s wants and needs.  As an Occupational Therapist it is her job to help people restore function and be as independent as they can.  CrossFit couldn’t fit in better with what she already does.  Using functional movements to restore function and setting achievable goals.  Both keys to having CrossFit success. Not only are we able to scale workouts to your current ability, but can also successful work around old nagging injuries that tend to pop up as we age and continue to push our bodies.

Danielle has been CrossFitting for 12 years in the Atlanta area and has owned CrossFit Sting for 10. She holds her CrossFit L-2 certification, CrossFit Kids Certification as well as her Adaptive and Inclusive Certification. She enjoys traveling often and has had the chance to visit boxes all over the country.  This has allowed her to be around a lot of coaches and see various coaching styles, as well as experience different programming.  She has seen what works and what doesn’t work.  This has allowed her to put together an amazing box for spreading her CrossFit knowledge.

 As an athlete CrossFit has greatly improved Danielle’s game in a variety of sports, such as tennis and golf.  Hitting the ball 20 yards longer and improving agility, coordination and timing in both sports are just a few perks of doing CrossFit.  Come in and see what we have to offer to our fellow CrossFitters with our experience in the rehabilitation field and athletic abilities.
